WA: Man dies when car hits trees in Perth
PERTH, April 27 AAP - A 19-year-old man died when his car left the road and hit trees
in suburban Perth.
Police believe speed was a factor in the accident in the southern suburb of Hammond
Park about 8.30pm (WST) yesterday.
"It seems that he may have been speeding as he has entered a left hand bend, and has
driven onto the left hand verge of the road," a police spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman said he then lost control of the car and hit trees along the verge,
causing the car to flip before coming to rest.
The man's death takes Western Australia's road toll to 61, up from 58 last year.
