(ADPnews) - Sep 25, 2009 - S&P on Thursday lifted to AA from AA- its issuer credit rating on the general obligation (GO) bonds of Spartanburg County School District No 5, South Carolina, to reflect the continued maintenance of strong fund balances.
The agency also raised to AA- from A+ the underlying rating (SPUR) on Spartanburg Five Educational Facilities Corp, South Carolina's installment purchase revenue bonds series 2005, issued for the school district.
The district's series 2009 GO bonds were concurrently assigned a AA issuer credit rating.
The outlook is "stable".
